Four Apple-built iOS apps - Home, Apple News, Stocks, Voice Memos - will now work on Mac computers, the company said.

Apple will roll out macOS Mojave to its MacBook line of devices this fall along with iOS 12. Developers who wish to create a dark mode version of their applications can do so using the new API. The Preview Pane also shows all of a file's metadata, making it easier to manage media assets. In addition, you can run custom Automator Actions on files directly from Finder with Quick Actions. Apple is standardizing certain features across iOS and macOS so that developers won't have to re-code functions like copy and paste, or scrolling, or windows resizing. A tool called Stacks groups files of the same type into stacks on the desktop. However, the users can customize their Stacks by altering file properties like date and tags. You can group them together by app, topic, or thread. Xcode will also feature a Dark Mode theme, said Apple.

MacOS Mojave also sees the Mac App Store getting a redesign, with the overall look and functionality becoming closer to the iOS store, which was redesigned previous year.

Apple's "ARKit 2" enables developers to create innovative AR apps, with new tools to integrate shared experiences, persistent AR experiences tied to a specific location, object detection and image tracking. Apple is reserving this functionality for itself at the moment (with the first ported apps being the aforementioned Apple News, Home, Stocks and Voice Memos).

San Jose: Apple has announced iOS 12, the latest version of the most advanced mobile operating system, which will make daily tasks faster and more responsive.

David de Leon, spokesman for the disaster agency, said authorities had already evacuated about 300 people from nearby areas. The head of the National Disaster Prevention Authority Sergio Cabañas said: "People have been injured, burned and killed".

In enhancements to Safari's dramatic tracking detection, Apple is closing the loophole that let things like share buttons and comment fields track users automatically. Essentially the changes make it harder for third parties to generate a "fingerprint" identity of you and your system and then track it across sites, manifesting itself with extra "allow" or "don't allow" options in terms of granting access.

While a first look at the next iOS update was what many were waiting for, a lot of the watchers expected Apple to give them a preview of what lies in store for the next macOS update for the iMac, MacBook and Mac Pro computing devices.

What's new in macOS Mojave? New quick actions will also be available in Finder to help automate the creation of work documents and other projects.

Depending on your preference, Apple will also be adding more pop-ups - primarily to allow for better control over your privacy.

With Continuity camera, you can take a photo and it will immediately appear on the Mac.
