National Security Adviser John Bolton issued a striking rebuke to Iran Tuesday, warning its leaders that there will be "hell to pay" if they endanger us citizens or allies.

A little further into his speech, German diplomats appeared bemused by Trump's latest swipe at their country as he reiterated his criticism of Germany's planned undersea gas pipeline from Russian Federation.

President Donald Trump's boast about his administration's accomplishments provoked chuckles from an audience at the United Nations on Tuesday.

"Moving forward, we are only going to give foreign aid to those who respect us and frankly our - our friends", he said.

"So true", Trump said as he cracked a smile, which in turn raised the volume of the laughter in the General Assembly hall.

The White House said after Monday's meeting between Moon and Trump in NY that the leaders discussed plans for the second summit and agreed to coordinate the next steps.

President Donald Trump claimed his administration is one of the most accomplished in US history during a speech Tuesday at the United Nations General Assembly ― and the audience's reaction caught him off guard.

Cosby sentencing begins, capping fall from 'America's Dad' to convicted felon
When the first trial ended in a deadlock in June 2017, the defense attacked the judge and prosecutor from the courthouse steps. The woman Bill Cosby is convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting has tweeted a Bible verse about letting go of anger.

But Trump's bombastic foreign policy has faced significant criticism at home and overseas, and polls have shown a that majority of Americans surveyed feel the U.S. has lost respect worldwide under his leadership.

Indeed, the absence of bombshells like last year's made Trump's speech this time nearly boring by comparison.

During his speech, Trump bragged about the success of his administration, which was met with a chorus of laughter. "Iran's leaders plunder the nation's resources to enrich themselves and to spread mayhem across the Middle East and far beyond".

While media reports also say even the German delegation also was caught on camera laughing at Trump's speech when he claimed the country would be fully dependent on Russian energy unless they "immediately change course".

Israel and Iran have clashed over the past several years, with the U.S. also turning up the rhetoric against Tehran over the past two years.

"The United States will not be taken advantage of any longer", he said before criticizing "broken and bad trade deals".

Mr Trump began his speech by saying he wanted to "share the extraordinary progress we've made" since he took office.
