‘I don’t believe it’, says Donald Trump on United States climate change report

Federal climate report warns of more weather 'weirding'

"I think it's a dire situation anywhere", Roberts said Monday when asked about the potential impact to Kansas.

The Congressionally-mandated report, written with the help of more than a dozen US government agencies and departments, outlined the projected impacts of global warming in every corner of American society, in a dire warning at odds with the Trump administration's pro-fossil fuels agenda.

The National Climate Assessment, quietly unveiled on Friday, warned that natural disasters are worsening in the USA because of global warming. As the report had said, the global warming would be hurting the poor, disproportionately, undermining the human health and damaging the infrastructure.

David Eastering, director of the Technical Support Unit at the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, emphasised that there was "no external interference in the report's development". The NCA4 Volume II contains supporting evidence from 16 national-level topic chapters (e.g., water, oceans, energy, and human health), 10 regional chapters and two chapters that focus on societal responses to climate change. She said global warming is already harming people's health, but it will only get worse.

A team of more than 300 experts produced the report, which was extensively reviewed by the public and experts, including US federal agencies and a panel of the US National Academy of Sciences.

"Heatwaves are getting stronger, floods are growing larger, wildfires are obliterating more of America's landscape - it's because of climate change that's largely man made", Smith said.

Last year, Trump announced his intent to withdraw the United States from the 2015 Paris deal to combat climate change, becoming the first country of 200 to do so. This period is now the warmest in the history of modern civilization.

Interceptions give Bears Thanksgiving win over Lions
The Detroit Lions will be without two of their best offensive weapons on Thursday when the team's takes on the Chicago Bears . All that work will tucker out even the most talented players, so Cohen made a decision to take a quick power nap.

To provide a better sense of local-scale impacts, the report traces climate change's current and anticipated effects on different regions of the country. It was based on more than 1,000 earlier research studies. The one question the report could not answer is: Will we? The quality and quantity of their crops will decline across the country due to higher temperatures, drought and flooding. They tended to take a pragmatic approach to most questions.

Heat stress could cause average dairy production to fall between 0.60 per cent and 1.35 per cent over the next 12 years - having already cost the industry $1.2 billion from heat stress in 2010.

There will be more mosquito- and tickborne diseases like Zika, dengue and chikungunya.

Rising temperatures, extreme heat, drought, wildfire on rangelands and heavy downpours are expected to increasingly challenge the quality and quantity of US crop yields, livestock health, price stability and rural livelihoods. Burned areas in Southwestern California alone could double by 2050. Sea-level rise along US coasts could reach between roughly three to five feet.

"By the end of the century climate change could shrink the U.S. Economy by hundreds of billions of dollars", he continued.

- Global average sea level has risen by about 7-8 inches since 1900, with nearly half (about 3 inches) of that rise occurring since 1993.
